do you wanna elope tonight?

Not much is going on in the world of The Starlight Getaway.
Had an acoustic show last Friday, and played a benefit at a high school Saturday.
Might be looking at a "Hot Topic Tour" soon, apparently a few stores want them to come play.
Stoked on that.

This is our year, I swear.

follow me, sean, tyler, and the band on Twitter.
just click on our pictures.

Starlight Getaway pictures from the winter mini-tour kick off:

Tonight the boys are in Delray Beach. Tomorrow, Tampa. Saturday in Orlando, and Sunday in Jacksonville.
Then that's it for the rest of the year, I think.
Don't quote me on that.

See you in the stars,

I don't care just what you think, as long as it's about me

Seasons Change (Acoustic) at UCF October 20th, 2008

My Fall Into Autumn (Acoustic) at UCF October 20th, 2008

on our way to a show, we got caught in traffic because of an accident.
The boys walked up and down 528 playing to people.
gained a few fans =]

This was...the beginning of September? like the first weekend or something.
I just got the film developed today. I'm so lazy.

Anyways, the show at BackBooth was incredible.
You Me and Everyone We Know was a blast.

The boys picked up a sponsorship from this clothing company, Cuttin' Up Hookers.
Same dude that sponsors Hey Monday (Fueled By Ramen) and A Day To Remember (Victory)
plus a few other Florida bands. Pretty sweet.
They should have new shirts like next week or something?

Some other exciting stuff is going down, but I'm not going to jinx it...
....yet.

enjoy some pictures from the show last week:

and every misspent day, I wouldn't have it any other way.

I guess it's about time I update this thing, huh?

Not too much out of the ordinary has gone down in band-land, aside from playing shows a bunch.
They played an acoustic set in hot topic at the beginning of the month, though, which was uncontrollably radical.

Anyways, they've got the huge show Friday at the apparently now for sale Pizza di Rock, and then Tuesday they're playing at BackBooth with I Set My Friends On Fire and You Me And Everyone We Know. "Winter tour" is soon, but only really like four shows now.

Throwing some pictures your way, dial up users...beware.

one!

Group shot, Tallahassee

still Tally

Tally

Kyle demonstrating the sadness that is The Starlight Getaway brotank.
By far the most depressing piece of clothing that exists, any wearers of such hideous summertime apparel immediately slip in to the deep abyss of sorrow and misery.
On the other hand, innocent bystanders are more than happy to contribute further to the suppression of happiness.

and because these pictures are absolutely massive and irrelevant, here are the links to pictures of Sean in the van:

Like before, if a picture looks like it got cut off, it probably did.
If you're really that intrigued by my mediocre photography, just open it in a new window.

sorry for not updating this in over a month, but if I were to post here as much as I do to my LJ, you all would murder me.
and by "you all" I mean Matthew.

okay, I'm out.
Until next time, see you in the stars.

you couldn't wait for something new, and yesterday I thought of you.

Hey guys.
Just relaxin' in a really radical place called All Saint's Cafe waiting for the show to start.
It's super mellow, and (I hate myself for using this as an adjective...) chill.
Super laid back and I'm fixing to drink so much hot tea with honey.
THEY HAVE A HONEY CONTAINER WITH A PUMP.
IT'S INCREDIBLE. I LOVE HONEY.

The show last night was incredible performance-wise.
Crowd was pretty minimal, but whatever. They sounded awesome.
I sold the new gator shirts for the first time, and got a five buck tip!
hah. I rule. Hyrule.
Some of the other bands were super nice, and a few others seemed kinda...sketchy.

We left Jax right after the show for Tally, and it took like three hours.
We stopped at a gas station called Loves to fill up Nidia and grab something to eat.
It was like quarter until two, and there was a twenty-four hour Arby's inside.
Mac and Cheezers are a fast food vegetarian dream.
It was freezing in the van and outside when we stopped.
Apparently like right before we got there, a trucker got held up at gun point and his truck stolen?
Awesome.
Then we drove through the night to Sean's friend Kennon's place.
Finally got settled down at life five am.
We had to leave the trailer and van in an Albertson's parking lot because they'd tow it if we parked in the condo complex.
The guys we're staying with are super awesome, and we woke up this morning to watch Starship Troopers.
That was at like eleven, and we got all seven of us showered and dressed well before one.
Ate at Waffle House, and ventured around town to a comic book shop, where they were playing a game called Hordes that I'd love to learn in detail and I desperately wanted to buy Zombie Fluxx, so if anyone wants to get that for me, I'd be pretty down to receive.
Thennn they went to a tobacco shop, but I stayed in Nidia and played my DS.
I haven't played Pokemon in so long. I've forgotten where I was.
I'm half tempted just to start a new game.
We drove around Tally trying to find this place without the trailer so we didn't kill gas or the trailer with all the hills.
Erik, Travis, Sean and I went back to the apartment (where we're staying tonight as well) to get some stuff, and then to the parking lot to pick up trailer.
Matthew, Tiffani, and Joshua met us there and rode back in Nidia.
The band's out back doing vocal warm up, and Matthew, Tiffani, and Joshua went to go find dinner.
I should probably eat something.
Apparently, we're partying tonight after the show.
I'm down for that White Grape hookah. Smelled absolutely delicious.

Anyways, Andre-The-Intern called again last night and woke us up, but we were all far too tired to form coherent conversation and ask the questions we wanted, so he called back earlier.
Talked to him about touring with Red Car Wire, Universal Management, Press kits, and Warped Tour.
Super stoked on life about that.

Okay, I'm gonna go scarf some food before the show starts and before Noah gets here!

See you in the stars,
-Danni
