this plane is all I've got, so keep it steady now

Long time, no update, I suppose.
I have an honest detest for Blogspot.
Tumblr and Twitter are where it's at.

But I thought I should keep up with the rolling events of The Starlight Getaway.

Last month, they started recording their album-now-an-EP with Tom Denney of A Day To Remember.
They've gotten two songs almost completely done, save a few back up harmonies, and maybe some embellishments.
Due to some [completely understandable] personal reasons, they haven't been able to meet back up with Sir Denney in Ocala to finish.
He said TSG has the best guitar tone and drum sound he's ever recorded.
Which includes the drums from his own band's last album.

Also in the mix is a completely new layout, done by Chris at ZeroArt
From what I've heard, it's going to be pretty killer, and fits with the promo pictures they're taking in a few weeks.
I'm also having these incredible stickers made, and some stuff coming up for the street team with that.
I think there might be some new shirt designs for the summer.

recently a lot of really awful videos have shown up on the tsg youtube account, so be sure to waste several minutes of your life there. and if you want pictures, I take far too many and throw them on flickr.

Like I said, Twitter's where it's at.
Almost everyone in the band has one, except for Erik.

do you wanna elope tonight?

Not much is going on in the world of The Starlight Getaway.
Had an acoustic show last Friday, and played a benefit at a high school Saturday.
Might be looking at a "Hot Topic Tour" soon, apparently a few stores want them to come play.
Stoked on that.

This is our year, I swear.

follow me, sean, tyler, and the band on Twitter.
just click on our pictures.

Starlight Getaway pictures from the winter mini-tour kick off:

Tonight the boys are in Delray Beach. Tomorrow, Tampa. Saturday in Orlando, and Sunday in Jacksonville.
Then that's it for the rest of the year, I think.
Don't quote me on that.

See you in the stars,

Now you're tell me that you're falling in love

HEY! Check this out!

Seasons Change (Acoustic) at UCF October 20th, 2008

My Fall Into Autumn (Acoustic) at UCF October 20th, 2008

on our way to a show, we got caught in traffic because of an accident.
The boys walked up and down 528 playing to people.
gained a few fans =]

This was...the beginning of September? like the first weekend or something.
I just got the film developed today. I'm so lazy.

Anyways, the show at BackBooth was incredible.
You Me and Everyone We Know was a blast.

The boys picked up a sponsorship from this clothing company, Cuttin' Up Hookers.
Same dude that sponsors Hey Monday (Fueled By Ramen) and A Day To Remember (Victory)
plus a few other Florida bands. Pretty sweet.
They should have new shirts like next week or something?

Some other exciting stuff is going down, but I'm not going to jinx it...
....yet.

enjoy some pictures from the show last week:

and every misspent day, I wouldn't have it any other way.

I guess it's about time I update this thing, huh?

Not too much out of the ordinary has gone down in band-land, aside from playing shows a bunch.
They played an acoustic set in hot topic at the beginning of the month, though, which was uncontrollably radical.

Anyways, they've got the huge show Friday at the apparently now for sale Pizza di Rock, and then Tuesday they're playing at BackBooth with I Set My Friends On Fire and You Me And Everyone We Know. "Winter tour" is soon, but only really like four shows now.

Throwing some pictures your way, dial up users...beware.

Kyle demonstrating the sadness that is The Starlight Getaway brotank.
By far the most depressing piece of clothing that exists, any wearers of such hideous summertime apparel immediately slip in to the deep abyss of sorrow and misery.
On the other hand, innocent bystanders are more than happy to contribute further to the suppression of happiness.

and because these pictures are absolutely massive and irrelevant, here are the links to pictures of Sean in the van:

Like before, if a picture looks like it got cut off, it probably did.
If you're really that intrigued by my mediocre photography, just open it in a new window.

sorry for not updating this in over a month, but if I were to post here as much as I do to my LJ, you all would murder me.
and by "you all" I mean Matthew.

okay, I'm out.
Until next time, see you in the stars.
